In the ashes of devastation lies the fragile promise of rebirth — and from that grey, uncertain dawn emerges a world forever changed. Infinite Black: A Grey New World invites you into a post-apocalyptic landscape shaped by the cataclysmic war against the machine hell-world known as The Infinite Black.
Fifteen years have passed since the (almost) species-ending conflict with the machine overlord “Mother,” and humanity now navigates a harsh, remade reality. The world is quieter, more cautious — a dusty rural expanse, where flickering city lights stand distant and wild forest reclaims abandoned townships. Technology still exists, but stripped back — salvaged, resigned to practicality. In this Grey New World, survival hinges on adaptation, on grit, on the subtle balance between despair and hope.
Yet out of ruin arises potential: a blank canvas for new stories, new struggles, new alliances. Here — among ruined roads, overgrown towns, and the faded glow of distant skylines — lives can be rebuilt, choices re-examined, and humanity redefined. Infinite Black: A Grey New World is a realm of bleak beauty and fragile possibility, where every dawn holds the weight of what was lost — and the possibility of what might yet be.
The content follows — poetry, short stories, fragments of memory and myth — will chart the contours of this new world. After the nightmares of machine-hell, this is our human aftershock. Welcome to the grey.
