Lost in the secrets of sleep

Stirring from sleep with a jolt,
The heart beating furiously,
The pulse pumping,
A gaze wide and confused,
Covered in cold sweat,
Things unseen move in shadow,
Inner depths cause silent screams,
No way out, there’s no way out,
Lost in dreams of death and black seas,
What secrets do closed eyes see,
More, than woken minds conceive.

Starfall

Falling from the distant stars through time itself,

Into the deep cool waters of an ancient land,

Lost to all memory, a forgotten numen beneath the waves,

As eons pass the subsiding waters form a vast wasteland,

Miles of desolate emptiness, and beneath these ancient sands of time,

The star fallen sleeps, imprisoned within the dark restraints of dreams.

Beneath the Black Seas of Time

Deep within yourself break the waves of a vast black ocean,

It stretches beyond all time and space, capped by a star-filled sky,

In its fathomless depths, exists the end of all mankind,

Doom slumbers there, tentacled and terrible,

Kept silent for eons under waves, since falling from the sky,

Something within the darkness now stirs, an awakening,

Ice cold is the ocean and countless are her secrets,

Nothing is lost forever, the titan will soon awaken,

For you are no longer its keeper.

What Slumbers Beneath the Waves

Under knotted storm clouds and blackened night-soaked seas,
Ancient stone columns plummet countless fathoms to the darkest ocean depths,
Beneath the coral covered chancel of a long forgotten holy place,
A white leviathan’s eye, stares blindly upwards to the distant surface,
Forgotten by time, the sleeper beneath the waves has awaited the call,
The somnambulistic god of the old world impatiently stirs in the inky darkness,
When called from slumber, the creatures answer will be final,
In its throat the reply awaits, death, total doom, absolute devastation.

On a beach, incantations can be heard among the crashing of the waves,
For the stars are out tonight as death cult followers summon their leviathan god,
With his rising, the sea rumbles and floods, destruction is unleashed upon the world of men.
Cities are annihilated by waves, and sunlight is blacked out by ash from erupting volcanoes,
The lands freeze, and not a soul is left to witness the creature’s cosmic departure.

All is lost in its wake, a dead planet slowly revolves through the cold darkness of time.

Fall of the Old World

The world lurches sideways, bringing with it chaos and doom,
Oceans shift, and massive floods cover once barren lands,
New mountain ranges and great valleys rise, creating instant change,
Shifting seas uncover secret terrain, creating a new alien landscape.
Where once there was vibrant life, the floating dead now pollute the water,
Metropolises are swallowed in moments, covered by the rushing ocean waves,
Vast creatures once hidden in deep trenches are unveiled, wreaking havoc,
All light becomes dark, powerful storms rage, rain falls constantly, and the old-world falls.
The devastation of the human species, has been whispered, but was long overdue,
Extinction has arrived with full force, and a new age of the earth has begun.
Mankind squandered a chance at peace and prosperity, and has been judged.
A cosmic force has deemed man unworthy, and the final judgement is total annihilation.

Sleeper Beneath the Mountain

Asleep, yet awake, deep within the black range,
Her breath a rumble felt in the bowels of the earth.
For six thousand years she has slept, waiting to rise,
Her fury quelled by the darkness in which she lies.
Every thunder crack of storm is a cry from the cosmos,
Her distant Prince pining for the one he’s denied,
Beneath a black mountain of forests deep and peaks divine,
The lightning, a conduit of love between the earth and the sky.
Worshipped by the surface-dwelling cult of the serpent,
Who enact rites, preventing the ancient sleeper from stirring,
She remains imprisoned below, while away in the stars,
The fury of a love lost Prince grows without her in his arms,
Two divided serpents with eyes of fire, and mighty limbs encased in scales,
Kept apart by a death cult of outsiders, who fear the prophecy of their union,
She is an imprisoned deity, coiled up beneath a mountain of rock and dirt,
And he, her leviathan lover, has a black heart made of stardust, shadows and hurt.
A time will soon come when the ancient princess will awaken,
And her prince will punish mankind, by whom she was taken,
They will bring the earth total doom and utter devastation,
And once united, they will erase all traces of life in retaliation.
When the prophecy is fulfilled, they will return to the cosmos,
Back beyond the stars where the ancient ones reside,
Existing beyond all time and space in the infinite darkness,
Two serpents entwined once again, far from the earth’s lifeless carcass.

Beyond the Screaming Arch

Just one slip into unconsciousness,

Beyond a screaming doorway drowned in ocean water,

Razor sharp thorns pierce the skin and shed the blood.

A black blood drifts from wounds like storm clouds in salt water,

Serpent-like tentacles grip, tug and constrict,

Dragging the world down into the darkest shadows of sleep,

Into the realm of desolation and despair,

Doom absolute, engulfed by the blue green deep,

Here we sleep, floating, lifeless, and motionless,

Struggle is over, everything here is silent, cold, and still.

The stars overhead continue to shine upon that false calm surface.
