Far beyond the dying breakers
That crumble upon distant shores,
In the lightless depths
Of an unseen abyss,
A watcher observes mankind.
With death-white eyes,
Unblinking and all-seeing,
It waits beneath the waves.
An ancient enigma,
Once a dweller among the stars,
Now imprisoned
Within a cold and watery cell.
Yet its influence reaches far beyond the deep.
The watcher enters dreams,
Gathering secrets from sleeping minds,
Patient through the passing ages.
For aeons it has lingered,
Silent beneath the black waters,
Awaiting the call
That will summon it once more.
Then it shall rise from the depths,
And madness and doom
Will walk the earth beside it.
